the candle of hope falls lower than the rest due to the glow it has emitted during all four weeks of the Advent season.
the second candle of love & its waxy build does not stand much higher than that of hope.
the resplendent pink candle of joy gleams brightly among the rest with accents of dripping wax that almost look as if they were perfectly placed down the sides.
the flame on the candle of peace is tall & upright with a fresh waxy wall surrounding it to keep it protected from the wind of harms reach.
held within the circle of hope, love, joy, and peace is the candle of Christ that has been present all along, but remained patient in presenting its flame among the rest.
this pure, white candle marks the end of the Advent season, but does not mark the end of hope, the end of love, the end of joy, or the end of peace.
the Christ candle is just the beginning.
the beginning of a Christmas season that was eagerly awaited for. the beginning of a celebration filled with gratitude and goodness.
the Christ candle is just the beginning.
the beginning of the life of the Savior who became human. a man who was born to die so that he could grant us our own fullness of life.
the Christ candle is just the beginning.
the beginning of not only a Christmas season filled with hope, love, joy, and peace, but a lifelong journey graced with each because of a mother's "yes," a father's tenderness & obedience, & a Son who came to save.
when your hope and love fall low and the glow of each one begins to dim,
when your life's accents of joy seem to smolder and the rejoicing hides behind the smoke,
when peace loses its protective wall and the winds of harm, anger, and violence strive to cease the flame,
Christ humbly and graciously comes to save and enliven it all.
feel His blaze, witness His flame, for He is alive within.
